COACH
SEAN ROGERS
Sean Rogers’ journey in fitness began at an early age, laying the foundation for a lifetime of athleticism, competition, and coaching excellence. A three-sport varsity athlete in high school, Sean started training at just 12 years old, developing a deep passion for strength, endurance, and performance.
After earning a business degree from the University at Albany, Sean pursued a career in finance. However, his love for physical training never waned, leading him into the world of competitive CrossFit. While working in Manhattan, he became a coach at Reebok CrossFit One, where he trained athletes in high-intensity functional fitness while balancing his career in the corporate world.
At 31 years old, Sean made a pivotal decision—leaving finance behind to found the Civilian Military Combine (CMC), a groundbreaking fitness race that combined functional fitness challenges with a grueling 7-mile mountain run. Over the next five years, he dedicated himself to the development and expansion of this revolutionary event, traveling the country to train military athletes, elite special forces (Tier 1 Operators), and civilian competitors, helping them prepare for the rigorous demands of CMC.
During this period, Sean expanded his expertise, earning certifications in Olympic lifting, powerlifting, rowing, and metabolic threshold training and nutrition. His hands-on approach and deep knowledge of human performance positioned him as a sought-after coach and fitness innovator.
Sean Rogers’ career embodies the essence of adaptability, resilience, and relentless pursuit of excellence—whether in competitive sports, elite coaching, or pioneering fitness events that challenge athletes of all levels.
